Joanna Katipa

Joanna has broad experience in Māori health, governance, and community development. She has worked as a cultural advisor at Middlemore Hospital and held governance roles with Ngā Hapū o Te Uru, Ngāti Tamaoho Trust and Mana Whenua i Tāmaki Makaurau.

With whakapapa ties to the Kiingitanga and Te Puuaha o Waikato, she brings a strong cultural foundation to her work. Her background in business management and tikanga supports her ongoing commitment to iwi, environmental initiatives, and hauora Māori.
