Tania has a long history of government, community, business and Māori development experience. While pursuing her Doctorate of Indigenous Advancement, she is currently researching and presenting several Waitangi Tribunal Claims. A former board member of the NZ Blood Service, the Charities Commission, the Whānau Ora Regional Leadership Group, and Disability Panels to Auckland Council, Auckland Transport and Health Authorities, Tania has also held positions advising the Chief Ombudsman, ACC and MSD’s national complaints panel. As a company owner and Director, she has also worked alongside various iwi, health, and social service organisations. Tania is a long-serving supporter and member of the hauā community as a primary whānau carer and advocate for the Māori disability population. She has recently been recognised in the New Year’s Honours, appointed as a member of the New Zealand Order of Merit.
